A PRESENTATION OF FOUR VISIONS OF A FUTURE HIGH STREET
Bangor University and elop recently brought together twenty bight young minds from all over the world to explore possible answers to the question;
Our (Bangor) High Street is facing decline and we need to innovate. A strong step forward towards innovation can start with the question 'what if?'
Taking on trends in living and working in the digital age, absorbing local information and the culture of the place. Multi disciplinary teams made up of Architects and Sociologists , Engineers and Psychologists put together four visions of what the High Street could be, based on the reality of what is here and now.
A packed Penryhn Hall listened with enthusiasm and interest to four different and compelling visions of what could be. The next stages in the process involves using the latest technology in a process call 'Common Democracy' to engage with various stakeholders to engage with the ideas and innovation to carry them forward.
